How to Overcome Obstacles As You Advance Forward - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career
How to Overcome Obstacles As You Advance Forward - Personal Branding Blog - Stand Out In Your Career The entrepreneurial mindset is known as one that embraces change, as well as learning how to incorporate change into oneâs life. Those who fall into this category, many times, have difficulty relating with others who do not embrace this philosophy. Generally speaking, change frightens most people. Consequently, most people will not be your supportive friend. We have all heard the expression, âItâs lonely at the topâ. As you learn more, embrace technology and cutting edge ideas quickly, you leave the pack far behind. A few people recently lamented that as hard as they tried to accommodate others, no one in their respective circles reciprocated and were left to feel deserted. They began to question if they did enough for others and a twinge of guilt hit hard around their desire to move on. Asked my opinion, I advised we each have one life to live and it is our duty to live it as best we may in order to accomplish what we most desire. We can be friends with others and help one another along the way, but should never be expected to babysit or behave as others desire we do. While it may be lonely for a while, eventually you find similar minded others who will support your endeavors and strive to help one another grow. Remaining true to your beliefs and ideals are what keep your personal brand in tact. The true you should be apparent to everyone in order to also build your business brand. There is a huge benefit to the moments when you feel most alone. This is the exact moment that should be viewed as a gift of focused time for just you. Without others to wait on, you can easily afford the time to redefine your vision and create a plan for attaining it. The projects involved may be laid out in a timely manner, and a business plan put into place prioritizing which piece to dedicate yourself to first. Next, begin implementing one by one. By the time you are half-way through, and advancing toward your vision, audiences will come forward proclaiming your work to those they know. The dedicated quiet time ultimately puts you into the leadership position as you harness the gift of quiet time bestowed upon you. The sales motto is, âPeople buy from those they know, like and trust.â In order to trust you, you do need to be your own person and not worry about the extenuating circumstances. Upon conducting business in this manner, you will attract those who appreciate you, want to do business with you, and who will promote your activities voluntarily. This will become your collaborative group. And to further build audiences as well as build community around you, hold out a helping hand to those following in your footsteps by teaching what in your experience has worked best to date. You just might find some who also feel deserted by once perceived good friends, and your help will turn their dismay into good fortune. As more of us work in this manner, we positively impact society.
